Listed as one of 'Les Plus Beaux villages de France' (the most beautiful villages of France), the 1,000 year old village of Lourmarin is a very pretty town with fountain-lined streets that thread their way around the village.
Lourmarin nestles in the middle of vineyards, olive groves and almond trees in the heart of Provence and the winding road that leads from Bonnieux towards the town, takes you along the bends of a valley lined with wonderful oak trees.

When he is not painting in his studio, Colin likes to make trips to the countryside and coast and continues to draw inspiration from his recent travels. He enjoys the experience of being outdoors and emotionally connecting with nature, the landscape and its surroundings. In May 2021, he participated in a Three Person Show at the Wykeham Gallery, where he exhibited a new series of seascape and landscape paintings, created following his travels to Provence, The Riviera and of course the UK.
